It's been a while! Hex Map has been writing and demoing our second album for about year now, and we're almost ready to start recording for real. We'll be announcing a show soon for late January, at which we will (hopefully) be debuting some new songs.
Nick from Hex Map has a new solo album out, which you can hear here. He also has a new website at nicholasburgess.com.
Speaking of new websites, hexmap.net should be getting a makeover soon, which will make it easier for us to update the site more often. There's much we could do with this place if the design allowed it, so hopefully a redesign will open the door for some cool stuff.
If we don't get another post in before 2012, happy holidays!

We have no shows booked at this time, but one could pop up at any moment! In the meantime, we are currently writing songs for our second record. It is going to be an epic summertime feel-bad album.

Hey everyone, this Friday we're playing a show to benefit the fight against multiple sclerosis. It's at the Dilboy VFW Hall in Davis Square, 371 Summer Street in Somerville, MA. We're playing with Electric Mummy and Making the Noise. The show is free but donations are encouraged. We will be donating all proceeds from our album sales at this show to MS research.

Our next show is a rare weekend night performance on Friday, January 14, at P.A.'s Lounge in Somerville. We're going to be joined by Beach Hair, Prussia, and Leagues. Someone else made a cool-looking poster for the show.

Thanks to everyone for coming to our show on November 15. It was our last live show of the year, but we will be playing one more time before 2011, on a radio show called Pipeline, hosted by Jeff Breeze. The show is broadcast on FM radio in and around Cambridge, Massachusetts, and on the internet everywhere else.
We're in the process of lining up a possible show in January, so clear that month entirely in your planner so you won't miss it.
Finally, our new album, "Cryptidography," is shipping now from our website. It's also popping up on online stores such as Amazon and iTunes. And you can always listen to the whole thing for free on our bandcamp page.
